The Centers For Exceptional Children & Head Start Partnership
The ever-changing landscape of education and childcare continues to shape the direction of CFEC's efforts to help students reach their fullest potential. As we enter the new school year, The Centers for Exceptional Children is excited to announce a new partnership with Family Services and Head Start.
Head Start is a federally funded program that provides early childhood education, health, and family support services to children from low-income families, administered locally here in Winston-Salem by Family Services. Beginning this fall, four new Head Start classrooms will open in the CFEC building on Shattalon Road, which also houses The Special Children's School.
CFEC is proud to offer a clean, safe, and welcoming space that supports this mission - and we're glad to help provide the kind of environment that allows children and families to thrive. For more information on Head Start, visit their website here.
