The outbreak of COVID-19 raises questions and concerns for all of us. Take a look at the resources below and know that the CFEC Team is here to support children with special needs and their families.
Emergency Needs
Breakfast and Lunch – Select school cafeterias will be open to serve breakfast and lunch from 10 am – 2 pm. Meals must be taken offsite and are free for children ages 0-18. Adults can purchase a breakfast meal for $1 and/or a lunch meal for $2 (cash only). Stay up-to-date and find detailed information here.

- NCDPI has some of our favorite early learning resources for ages 0 – 3 year olds. Check out these remote learning opportunities.
- Storyline Online streams videos featuring celebrated actors reading children’s books alongside creatively produced illustrations.
- Scholastic Learn at Home offers day-by-day projects to keep kids reading, thinking, and growing.
- KiwiCo has launched a resource hub for parents to help support learning at home, with loads of stay-at-home educational activities for every age, tips from teachers on effective remote learning, and kid-friendly content that connects science with their daily lives.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Make a difference in the lives of children with special needs by volunteering at The CFEC. Opportunities include working with children, performing clerical tasks, landscaping and building maintenance, and assisting with special events.
