It is too cold for our kids to go outside, so today Ms. Sladky and Ms. Johnson treated their class to a “pizza.” But this was no ordinary pizza! One their favorite books to read together is William Steig’s “Pete’s a Pizza” and today they decided to take it one step further… and make their own “pizza” out of Nicole! They followed all of Pete’s father’s directions from the book and added tomatoes, cheese and pepperoni (made of paper). And then, Nicole and her friends began laughing, and everyone enjoyed a pretend slice of pizza!
