Typical Kindergarten

Small class sizes to best support children’s early learning

In 2008, a Typical Kindergarten program was created at The Children’s Center. The program was so successful that in 2013, The Special Children’s School added a Typical Kindergarten program as well. Our Typical Kindergarten program offers a lower class size (generally 8-12 children), often perfect for parents unsure about whether to start their child in kindergarten, or wait an extra year.  The opportunity to be part of a small school “family” rather than entering a school of 600, 800, or 1,000 students, is especially attractive for many parents.

Our Typical Kindergarten program is full-day. Child care is available on-site after school. Learn more about our Typical Child Inclusion Programs.

If you are interested in learning more about our Typical Kindergarten program, we encourage you to contact us, visit our enrollment page, or schedule a tour. We are looking forward to meeting you and your family!
