The Centers for Exceptional Children 2017 Charity Golf Classic
and Hall of Hope Reception
August 3 & 4, 2017 at Tanglewood Park
The Centers for Exceptional Children hosted its annual Hall of Hope Reception and Charity Golf Classic on Thursday, August 3, 2017 and Friday, August 4, 2017. As a result of the two events, the organization has raised $144,000. These dollars will help to support the programs we provide to more than 200 children in our schools and 1000 families in our community.
Congratulations again to our 2017 Hall of Hope honorees and their families – William F. “Bill” Womble, Sr. (award accepted by Bill Womble, Jr.), Emil Shaffner (award accepted by David Shaffner), and Dr. Courtland Davis. Sixty-five years ago, these three men were visionaries ahead of their time when they founded what is now The Centers for Exceptional Children.
A special thank you to WestRock – our presenting sponsor for the 8th year now. The CFEC is so grateful to them for their ongoing support and to all our generous sponsors this year. Thank you to everyone who came out to our events, and to all of the dedicated sponsors, volunteers, and staff that made the two days incredibly special.
Finally, the CFEC is appreciates the generosity of all who contributed to our raffle, silent and live auctions, as well as those who provided in-kind donations to the events.
